Let's just face it.
Sometimes, the people we count on to be there for us aren't there for us.
Maybe you've been wounded or attacked by someone in the presence of others. And you thought that the others would see it and stand by you, stand with you, stand for you.
But what happened was... silence.
Now, you aree feeling alone, confused, unappreciated, and taken for granted.
Maybe your friends and teammates just didn't sense that you needed them. Maybe they didn't feel that you were wounded. Maybe they are going through their own pain and don't have the capacity to minister to you at that moment. Maybe they are just relationally or emotionally dull. Or maybe they even agree to a degree with the one who wounded you.
What do you do?
Go to the One who will never leave you or forsake you. Claim the promises of God. And here is one from Isaiah.
A bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice. Isaiah 42:3
So, who do you know who needs this verse today?
Thanks for this, Rick! I'm one who needed it today. God is so good.
