This past week, I received a little note that made my day.

Dear Rick –
Thank you for teaching at Men’s Group Tuesday morning. I thought of Oswald Chamber’s devotional when you referenced I Corinthians 15:10.
I appreciate your teaching, Rick. God has used you to encourage me to press on in my relationship to Him.
Warm Regards –

How long did it take Bill to write and them mail that note? Just a few minutes. But I thought, “Wow. Bill was thinking of me. He was thankful for me. And he said what every pastor wants to hear – that God has used me to encourage him to press on in his relationship with the Lord.”
That little note had a big impact on me. It made me want to do for others what Bill did for me.
Has anybody sent a note like that to you lately? Just to say thanks, just to encourage you, just to say, “I’m praying for you”? You get a note like that and it makes you go “Wow!” Anybody sent a note like that to you lately?
But maybe a better question is “Have you sent a note like that to anyone else lately?” Would your family and friends say about the relationship that you have with them, “Wow”?
Why not write that note now?
Question: What keeps us from writing little notes like this?

To be thought of and have someone think enough of you to take the time to express it! What a gift!
